Strengthening brain injury teams and improving care through group reflective practice sessions
At Connect Neuropsychology, we recognise that working with people with brain injuries and their families can be emotionally challenging for front-line support workers, carers and treating teams, leading to high levels of stress, reduced job satisfaction, high staff turnover and poor client care. In response to this, Dr Audrey Daisley has, for many years, specialised in supporting case managers by providing brain injury teams with the necessary tools and guidance to cultivate a culture of reflection, continuous improvement, and excellence.
Every client and the team supporting them is unique so Audrey will work with you to design reflective practice sessions that suit those needs. As a guide, all reflective practice sessions are facilitated by Dr Audrey Daisley herself, are typically held monthly via Zoom or Teams, allowing us to work with staff members based around the UK, and last between one hour and 90 minutes.
Post-session feedback to case managers and deputy teams is an essential component of the work, ensuring that important insights are shared and addressed to support team growth and improve client care.
Group reflective practice sessions provide ABI staff with a safe, regular, and empowering space in which to reflect on the challenges and complexities inherent in the work we do. Audrey has witnessed the transformative impact of this type of intervention, enabling team members to unlock new insights, grow professionally, to feel valued and supported, to enjoy their work more and crucially, to deliver the highest levels of care and support to clients.
